Historical highlights
1963 Established in Kaohsiung, Taiwan Formally the Rubber Plant of Formosa Plastics Corp.
1971 Under license of Kinyosha, Japan
1981 Set up workshop for metal roll Grinding
1983 Set up workshop for hard chrome plating; under the license by HARTCHROME AG, Switzerland
1990 Started cooperation with SGL Corp.
1992 Merged into Formosa Heavy Industries Corp.
The new Rubber Workshop was set up in the same plant area for higher capacity and production.
1994 Awarded ISO 9002 certification.
2001 Established Formosa Heavy Industries Corporation (Guangzhou) Limited in Guangzhou, Mainland China; started business for industrial rubber rolls and metal roll Grinding.
